"The spam filter actually works, thankfully"
I’ll give credit where it’s due: the spam filter is finally doing its job. The junk messages have pretty much stopped, which is a relief because dealing with them was getting really irritating. So, thank you for that.
"I’ve been using Proton Mail the interface…"
I’ve been using Proton Mail the interface is really simple, which I like a lot. The inbox look clean, the settings is easy enough to find, and it runs smooth on my phone too. It only took me about a day to get used to everything.

"Overall, it feels secure enough and I appreciate…"
Overall, it feels secure enough and I appreciate having the extra protection. That said, logging in with 2FA can be kind of slow sometimes, and every now and then it’s a bit confusing to get through. Not a huge deal, but it could definitely be smoother.

"Solid Email App for Everyday Use"
I’ve been using Proton Mail for a while now, it’s been solid. There have been maybe one or two times where it felt a little slow, but nothing major. My emails send and receive just fine, and for daily use, it does exactly what I need. Overall, I’m happy with it and don’t really have any big complaints.

"I moved my old Gmail inbox over…"
I moved my old Gmail inbox over to Proton Mail last week, it went smoothly. I was expecting it to be a ridiculous headache, but the import tool handled most of the work for me. A few labels looked a little different afterward, but nothing that really mattered. All my old emails and contacts came through fine. The whole setup took maybe an hour, mostly because I kept double-checking everything. Overall, I’m really happy with the switch. It feels cleaner, a bit calmer, and definitely more private.

"Works smoothly, but I’m still waiting for an apology"
Mail, Drive, and the VPN all sync easily, which is nice. The setup was simple and everything seems to work together without much hassle. That said, after the issue I had earlier, I’m still expecting an apology because it definitely caused some frustration.
"Takes a Bit to Get the Hang of It"
It definitely takes some learning at first, and I had to spend a little time poking around, trying things, messing up, and figuring out where everything was, but once it started to click it felt a lot more manageable and I could see myself getting more comfortable with it the more I use it.

"Easy recovery"
Support actually helped me recover it quickly, and there was no stress at all

"Simple and Secure"
I like that the end-to-end encryption just works in the background without me having to think about it. To me, that’s exactly how security should feel, solid, reliable, and not a hassle.

"Good privacy, but slow"
I like Proton Mail for the privacy side of things, but uh, the web app can feel really slow. My inbox takes a while to load, switching folders sometimes hangs, and the search just feels clunky. It works fine enough, but using it every day gets frustrating quickly. Hopefully they improve the performance soon

"The storage has been more than enough…"
The storage has been more than enough for my everyday use. If you’re like me and just need space for regular files, photos, and apps, you probably won’t have to worry about running out anytime soon. I’d say it’s a good choice if storage space is a big concern for you.

"Feels safer than my old email, but recovery still makes me nervous"
I mostly use Proton Mail because, i just feel a lot better about it than my old email account. I might be a little biased because I’m security-focused, but the 2FA setup was simple and I really like getting alerts if someone tries to sign in. That said, the recovery options still stress me out a bit. If you lose your password or codes, it doesn’t feel super clear what happens next. So yeah, it feels secure, which I appreciate, but it’s not always the most user-friendly experience.

"Surprisingly painless for once"
I changed my plan and updated the invoice stuff without any hassle, which was a nice surprise. Everything was handled smoothly, so I guess it can be done after all.

"Worth it if you care about privacy"
I’ve been using Proton Mail for a while now, and compared to regular free email options, it definitely feels more polished on the privacy side. The paid plan seems fair for what’s included, though if all you need is basic emailing, it can feel a little expensive next to something like Gmail or Outlook. For me, though, the extra features and peace of mind make it worth paying for.

"Good for privacy, but the free plan feels limited"
I like Proton Mail overall, especially for the privacy side of things, and the app is easy to use. But, umm, the free plan started feeling a bit too limited after a while. The storage isn’t much, you only get one email address, and quite a few features are behind the paid plan. It works fine if you just need basic email, but I ran into the limits sooner than I thought I would. Good service, just not that useful if you’re sticking with the free version

"and it feels secure"
the privacy feels really solid. I don’t find myself stressing about my emails much anymore, which is a nice change
"Good on desktop, but the mobile app is a headache"
I actually like ProtonMail when I’m using it on my desktop, but the mobile app has been frustrating. It loads slowly at times, notifications either come in late or don’t show up at all, and searching through emails feels way more clunky than it should. I’ve also had drafts not sync properly a few times, which is really annoying when you’re trying to pick up where you left off. And when you reach out, the canned apologies don’t really help much if the same problems keep happening. I get that security is the big selling point, and I do appreciate that, but for an email app on my phone, I mostly need it to be fast and reliable. Right now, it just doesn’t feel that way.

"Helpful support, even if it took a bit"
I had a problem getting into my ProtonMail account, so I sent a ticket to support. They replied the next day, and I really appreciated that their response actually felt helpful instead of just a copy-paste answer. It did take a little back and forth to fully get it sorted, which is why I’m giving 4 stars, but everyone was polite and they did fix the issue in the end. Grateful for the help.

"Good privacy, but email delivery can be iffy"
Not gonna lie, I do like ProtonMail overall, especially for the privacy side of things. But the email delivery has been a little hit or miss for me. Sometimes messages end up in spam or take longer than I’d expect, especially when I’m emailing someone new. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it can be annoying when the email actually matters. I still use it, I just wish it felt a bit more reliable.
"Works now, but wow, the setup was frustrating"
I’m using Proton Mail with my own domain and yeah, it’s working fine now. But the DNS setup made me stop and go, “Wait, why is this so annoying?” It was more confusing than I expected, and support took a while to get back to me. It’s not awful or anything, but for a paid email service, I really thought the whole process would feel smoother.
